For the ganache:

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temperature

For the filling:

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream

For topping:

  • Fresh strawberries, sliced (approximately 12 oz.)
  • Melted bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, for drizzling (optional)
